Thus analysing the need of foldability and functionality of utility storage products. Origami was the right direction to go ahead with as it works with lots of layering, folding, collapsing, twisting etc. So started exploring with lots of box shaped products making with paper which can work for storing things and then applying all the folding mechanism as to see which works better.
The folding mechanism needs to be simple so that it can be easily understood by a common man where foldability acts as a fun and involving (engaging people) element in the product and not a complication.
“FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION”
Thus looking at the multipurpose function of the products i.e. can be used in bathroom/ laundry, bedroom/ living room, kitchen and outdoor. Taking the day to day basic items as a reference to compose and make interesting surfaces for the product in order to accessorise the product by keeping the background surface very subtle, organic and natural feel.
