The Wiggler - LUX Light Festival

The Wiggler is a kinetic installation that re-presents the traditional ogival textile pattern as as a four-dimensional, interactive experience.
?
Made from steel, timber and acrylic, the series of fluorescent vertical steel ‘wiggles’ lit with UV light appear as a stripe pattern against the darkness. Turn the crank to make the wiggles wave; Turn it faster to transform the traditional pattern into an optical illusion, rendering a four dimensional ogival structure in light.
