Signage ROLEX LEARNING CENTER EPFL

I had the chance to design the
signage of EPFL’s most remarkable
building created by Saana architects.
A challenging masterpiece, since
the building is mainly made of
curves, holes, hills, paths and
bubbles. However, we found a way
to indicate directions in a very
integrated manner, respectful of
the spaces yet strongly branded.
My role was to design and monitor
the implementation of all elements
of internal and external signage of
the building.
In addition to working on the indoor
signage I also designed a range
of outdoor items using a similar
language. Entrance walls, directional
totems and several panels refer to
high technology in their choice of
forms and materials.
Little by little, any former signage
still present on the site will be
replaced by these new objects.
