Design for 2030

Propose an object-based design solution to benefit the people of the year 2030 and improve their lives in some way.

Book-e is a holographic book that enhances learning
to read for small children at school and at home.
This device makes learning to read interactive and stimulates creative play and thinking for the child. Within the next 15 years, I believe there will be holographic teaching aids similar to this used in schools. As well as using 3D holographic screen less displays, my concept uses eye-tracking cameras, which are both technologies currently in development. They generate strong interface interaction and easy navigation with the movement of your eyes controlling the content displayed.
This allows the child to make the words come alive
on the page and individual letters interact with the animation, for example the four letters spelling the word ‘tree’ becoming fruit on a tree in the holographic display.
