I was UX Lead on this project to create a document library in one of our applications. Previously, there had been a small reports menu which users had to click in order to generate and access reports. To replace that, we came up with a dedicated Document Library screen, as well as offering the ability to generate documents contextually from various points within the app.
As UX Lead, I was responsible for facilitating a design studio to generate ideas, all early stage problem-solving and information architecture, interaction design, micro-copy and content strategy, and guiding our UI designer in creating assets and high fidelity mockups.
Once we had everything in place, I wrote a usability study plan, brainstormed questions with the team, conducted the tests, and created a presentation to synthesize the analyzed findings. I also helped with QA testing and a rollout strategy (for replacing the old reports menu).
This project is in the process of being rolled out to customers.
