SAP Americas HQ
This new LEED platinum building is a major addition to an existing campus. The neutral interiors called for understated wayfinding elements. The lean, vertical steel blades are constructed to receive changeable information plates, since room designations could change weekly, with all materials flush surface. Projecting icons are bent from steel plate and laser cut to create open form. The building is divided into Cores A through D, supported by color. Employees are directed to all destinations via an intuitive alpha-numeric address system, with supporting themed core nomenclature. Every space/location has an address and name relative to its position in the building. The elements of the sign family are designed within a grid that aligns with a horizontal pattern that has been applied to all corridor office and conference room windows.
