Design for Change Competition

The Lille / Design for Change Contest focuses on the world to come and on the active citizens of a city, instead of the passive consumers that are too often the focus of society. In this new world full of possibilities, design returns to its source, leaving behind our detour into consumerism. Its purpose is to help construct the cities of tomorrow and to make the world a friendly place to live in.

First Theme:
1. URBAN AGRICULTURE – THE AGRICULTURAL METROPOLIS

The old opposition between the city and the country is outdated. More and more of us live in cities that rely on this very divide and have turned our land into endless suburbs.

This new structure preserves biodiversity, as well as direct contact between consumers and local producers: it returns to a human scale.
