Images 1 and 2 were used as teasers and image 3 was the final reveal. This product was a freeze-dried ice cream sandwich (Astronaut Ice Cream) for release under the "Interstellar 420" brand in Illinois.
A special Meet and Greet opportunity with Mike Tyson in promotion of his new cannabis brand was presented with the giveaway prize being a signed boxing glove from him. I wanted something bold to match the voice of the TYSON 2.0 brand and wanted to standout from the other dispensaries running a similar giveaway. I wanted to make it feel grand so "WIN THE GLOVE” felt like it would be very bold and give the prize more prestige. It also served as a way to funnel giveaway entrants into our CRM. We made it a requirement to RSVP to the event in order to enter the giveaway. Our turnout for the event was fantastic.
The nuEra company put together a special showcase event to help spotlight smaller craft brands there were coming-to-market and thus, we needed a name for the event. I pitched “SMALL BATCH, BIG LOVE” as something a statement that would be easy to promote, share with press and get word-of-mouth promotion amongst our target audience. Small batch, because the new companies typically promote themselves as small batch cannabis artisans. “Big Love” because the nuEra company was intentional about sharing their platform and promoting the new companies to their customers. It was a party that garnered earned media hits as a result.
As a social media specialist, I wanted to spearhead efforts in engaging our customers and connect them to our social media (many surprisingly didn't interact online). I pitched the idea of “POST IT, TAG US, WIN BIG!” as an engaging monthly/periodic giveaway that incentivized our customers to tag us online with their purchases. I felt making a simple call to action made it clear that the opportunity to win an exciting prize was easy even for the most beginner social media user. The goal was to gain direct customer followers and encourage UGC.
