Rendering of final design - This table lamp uses LEDs to illuminate frosted glass. LED modules are mounted in the base of 4 tubes and the mirrored inner surfaces of these tubes helps to amplify the light. Experiments revealed the effectiveness of this approach to lighting and the impact of the visual effect produced. Aluminium has been used for the body of the lamp, as it was felt it would complement the frosted glass.
Example of available colour options - A feature of this design is that it would be made available in different colour options. This gives the customer choice and means that they can choose a colour scheme that matches their home environment. The control switch enables the light intensity to be altered, enabling varying moods to be created.
