Front view of the kettle - This domestic kettle is intended for use in the year 2100 and is designed to run using Hydrogen power. The Hydrogen cartridges are slotted into the centre and the base of the kettle converts this into electrical energy, heating the water in the top section. The benefit of this principle is that cables are not required, meaning the kettle could be used anywhere. This method of power also removes the need to use non-renewable energy sources, making it environmentally friendly.
Rear view of the kettle - The cradle profile of the base matches that of the top section, meaning that once engaged, the kettle is sturdy. Around the Hydrogen cartridge is a circular ring of LEDs which illuminate when the kettle is turned on. This informs the user that power is being generated from the Hydrogen cartridge. The handle is designed in an ergonomic way, with grooves being cut to represent finger position. The control button is large to ensure ease of operation.
