This is a laser-cut bamboo cell phone holder. It's my solution to the alarm clock problem; nobody uses alarm clocks anymore, but it can be a pain to fumble around looking for your cell phone in the middle of the night. The best solution is to use the clock app on your smartphone, and this stand to prop it up so you can see it from bed, or from across the room. Testers reported it is also useful for Skype calls.

The width of the legs are adjustable to best fit whatever device you want to use in whatever orientation.
