2007 Annual Report | Boyce Thompson Institute for Plant Research, Cornell University
Client: Boyce Thompson Institute for Plant Research | Cornell University Project: 2008 and 2009 Annual Reports Objective: To consider ways to save the institution on printing costs over a two year period. Solution: Designed a folder with marketing information stitched into the front half and the financials and scientist bios tucked into a pocket on the inside back cover. For the second year, only the loose leaf pages and a new belly band were printed. Result: This simple solution saved the institution considerable dollars on printing over the two year period, and it also gave the scientists a multi-use folder in which they could present their research and individual bios.
2009 Annual Report | Boyce Thompson Institute for Plant Research, Cornell University.
Client: Planned Parenthood of MN,ND,SD Project: 2000 Annual Report Objective: The report needed to reflect success in PPMSDs internal mandate to increase its work in reaching diverse communities throughout MN and SD. At the time there was little to no photography to show their outreach efforts to populations of color. Solution: The design and building of shadow box assemblages with iconic symbols, found objects and ephemera representing community, communication and connections were conceptualized and built by Liz Pangerl. Results: PPMSD considered the final execution to be a beautiful solution, and felt it was the best to date.
