Honda e-STREME-ExR
The big 4 Japanese manufacturers do not lead the way in electric motorcycles, worrying about recovering petrol engine investment has move down the priority list. Other petrol motorcycles are switching, many new ones have come to the market. Honda known as the most conservative sometimes push the boat out for others to follow. A full sport electric flagship is needed to retain their innovation profile. With the sharing of new battery tech with KTM, Yamaha and the Piaggio Group they must offer something different. Perhaps even replacing with upgraded batteries and software to existing bikes may be a way to save money in production costs. The design here is different and a far cry from their dated looking petrol FIREBLADE. Development in sports bike petrol engines has slowed in the last few years with only cosmetic tweaks and emission changes to meet the increasingly difficult regulations. To interest and attract the new generation rider change is needed.
