MANNA - The most talked about dance show in Philadelphia, "Shut Up & Dance" is a fundraising event for MANNA (Metropolitan AIDS Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance). The Pennsylvania Ballet dancers donate one spectacular night of dance. The event began in 1992, as a grass roots effort. I designed this year's campaign to ellicit an emotional response, to target a young, "funky" audience. •Art Direction: photo-shoot, design of invitation/mailer, poster, promo cards, print ads, bus signage, T-shirt.
JEVS Annual Report: - JEVS (Jewish Employment & Vocational Service) is a social service agency, transforming with the future, unveiled their core principles for the 2001-2002 fiscal year. On a limited budget, I was able to use photography of their program's real clients, blending the photos with bright patterns, to create a happy look, evoking the forward, positive motion of the agency. This piece is an annual report someone with a graphic twist-something different that people will enjoy reading.
JEVS - Redesign of the "Strictly Business" Event Identity Package. SB is a networking luncheon for businesses in greater Philadelphia area who support JEVS programs. The keynote speaker, a young entrepreneur, is president of half.com, therefore I streamlined the design to give a modern "techy feel." • Art Director: design of invitation, print ads, newsletter, event signage, video production, promotional items.
U.S. Postal Service Proposal: - Illustration, logo design and collateral materials for a collectors set of first edition postage stamps. Six fairy tales, each from different cultures were chosen: America, Japan, Russia, Africa, France and Turkey. Extensive research on philately(stamp collecting), as well as the art history/culture of each country. Fun, vivid, distinct illustration style. Each stamp is created as a piece of art on its own. •Art Director: illustration, logo design, matching envelope caches.
