Spruce provides the bare essentials of grooming in a self-standing canvas kit with long-lasting products. It’s designed specifically to help homeless individuals feel more confident for job + housing interviews. The kit was developed for a month-long MFA exploration into creating a family of objects, and with the foundation of prior ethnographic research I conducted with Manhattan’s homeless population.
