Milwaukee Ferry Terminal
This undergraduate capstone project proposed a new vision for Milwaukee's lakfront. With the cities recent addition of a new public street car system, and a series of proposals for its hub near this lakefront site, I sought to propose an addition to the lakefront to honor one of Milwaukees defining features - its Lake Michigan waterfront. The building serves to invite people into the heart of the city by approaching from the cities most picturesque angle. The landscape becomes an expansion of the existing greenspace creating a new destination to view the surrounding lankmarks. Given its location, the building should enhance the experience of the public on top of serving its transportation function.
