Developed early stent graft in mid 1990's. Very similar design still being manufactured and implanted, after 11 years and over 83,000 patients. I was involved in selecting graft material, designing and developing manufacturing processes for the stents and in figuring how to attach the stents to the graft material (with sophisticated sewing).
