Masters Thesis Project: Specialty Clothing
This project was undertaken in an effort to design clothing to be worn while seated (as in a wheelchair). Clothing shape was altered so that extra material was eliminated and garments were most comfortable and clean lined in the seated position. Additional consideration was given to potential fine motor difficulties and several alternative fastener designs were proposed. These included magnets for accessories, Velcro and a ball and hoop style over-sized "snap". Several lines were organized and designed to be worn together and accessories were added. Ultimately the collection was organized into a print catalog. The images shown are photographs of one of these catalogs. The catalog was designed using older technology of film photos and old school cut and paste layout. A logo was also designed as well as an attempt to create the brand.
