For this personal study, the goal was to create a beauty shot of a Rolling Rock beer bottle. The shot would incorporate the Rock and Roll motif sometimes used by Rolling Rock in their ads, but I wanted to keep things simple and the focus on the product itself. Modeling in Cinema 4D, I created the bottle and amp as well as a simple floor and background.
Lighting included 3 spotlights and 3 area lights, all in either an orange or blue color to compliment the rolling rock green. The lights add to the feel of the scene as they suggest that the environment is a lit stage. After rendering the scene out of Cinema 4D, I worked the image in Photoshop to further develop the moody feel and highlight the glass bottle.
