The goal for this project was to design an upscale bank for the community of Pelican Bay, Florida. The space is designed to provide comfort and privacy with the use of durable materials that can withstand the sub-tropical climate of the area. The existing building consisted mainly of concrete with steel columns and large glass windows. The residents of the community are accustomed to privacy and quality service this will be provided through up-scale design and disciplined service. The design exhibits the natural colors and elements available in the area such as the neutral cream colors in the sand so that the patrons feel connected with the nature surrounding them in this beautiful beach setting. The finishes are made of durable materials that will stand up to any problems that the hot and humid climate might cause. The space planning is designed so that the bank’s customers feel that they are taken care of with a comfortable, personal, and private experience every time they visit.
