Leapfrog ActivPlayer
Building on Leapfrog's success of creating interactive toys that help children learn, the ActivPlayer motivates kids to be physically active.
The Leapfrog ActivPlayer is a handheld device that plays kids' favorite TV shows (Spongebob, Dora, Disney's Cars, etc - all current Leapfrog affiliates), except they are proprietary episodes that require physical input to continue.
For example, in Disney's Cars, Lightning McQueen may get a flat tire. He asks the user to jump 30 times to pump air, and his tire slowly pumps up with each jump. When the tire is all pumped up and ready to go, the video playback seamlessly continues, showing Lightning McQueen zooming off to his next adventure.
