Like everyone else, when quarantine hit, I found myself searching for something to occupy my newfound alone time. I even signed up for a Spotify subscription after discovering the ads were driving me up the wall. It was then that I noticed some of the cover art for my favorite songs was (for lack of a better term) awkward or out-of-date.
After creating a music video, cover art, and social media art for the popular Indian music group Cryosis, I had learned a thing or two about cover art. So I decided to challenge myself to redesign the covers of a select few songs. Aligning the meaning of the songs with imagery that’s eye catching and attractive from afar is the difficult part when it comes to revamping cover art. However, once you find that niche, it’s fun to ride the wave of creativity into a perfect design.
