Laser-cut speaker
Objective: build a speaker that will receive a signal and play range of set frequency waves.
What was the real challenge in this project? Establish the proper wireless communication with the Atmega32U4 and a mRF module, emit a proper sinusoidal sound wave within the permitted frequency range, build the circuitry to filter and amplify the sound outputted by the microcontroller and finally, build sufficient and protective circuitry so the speaker can be run on batteries (I used 9 Volt).
The structure was modeled using Solidworks and laser cut on MDF.
