Aqua water bottle is an aesthetic plastic bottle inspired by a twisted triangular prism. Designed to be produced in polypropylene plastic with a High Density Polyethylene screw cap.
Sketch-models and sketches were used for the ideation process and a final concept was chosen out of a evaluation matrix gauging originality, ease of production and ergonomics.
The bottle is to be produced with blow molding out of a traditional parison tube.
On account of lowering production costs and ease of manufacturing, the screw cap`s thread step, number of turns and neck width and height were designed as that of a standard series 450 stated by the glass packaging Institute GPI.
Respective static load analysis for the bottle and the cap were simulated on a CAD/CAE program (Solidworks simulation) prior to designing the production mold.
