Assignment was to make up a concert experience for classical music extraordinaire Yo-Yo Ma. I decided to go the kids concert route. The idea is that via Magic Carpet Yo-Yo Ma would visit the birthplace of each genre of music he's made an album for. So for example he would visit Argentina for his Tango album "Soul of the Tango".
The idea was that the poster and activity book would be given to attendees. The poster is all fun vectors I made. It features Yo-Yo Ma on his magic carpet and below him are some illustrations of things you may connect with some of his music. For example the farm graphic is for Bluegrass music, another genre Yo-Yo Ma explored. Inside of the activity book are information of each genre of music and a corresponding paper doll to go with each genre. The book also includes a maze, images to color in, a mask, and word searches for each genre. The words in the searches were words I used to describe each genre when I listened to them.
