Handwoven rug made out of cloth rags and thick cotton yarns. The colour inspiration came from Salvador Dalí's famous painting, 'Figure at a Window (1925).'
The color reference for the rug was Salvador Dali's painting 'Figure at a Window (1925).'
The colors were extracted from the painting in the form of stripes, which were later re-arranged into a balanced composition.
A small exploratory sample was made first, in order to decide the weave, yarns and color composition of the rug. The raw uncolored spaces at both the edges turned out to be quite interesting, which hence were included in the rug's composition.
