Project Aim:
To design a hand-held, water purification product that can be utilised as a light source for both people in developing countries and individuals travelling around the world.
Project Objectives:
- To achieve the project aims, the following will be carried out:
- Primary and secondary research including methods of purification, existing products,
online interviews and questionnaires.
- Produce a Product Design Specification (PDS) based on research.
- Create concept design solutions, analysing strengths and weaknesses.
- Select concepts to be taken forward and developed further to produce a final design.
- Produce a 1:1 scale prototype to convey the design intent.
- Create technical drawings of the final design.
