IMecheE Formula Student - UPR-08 Exhaust System
THE UPR-08 exhaust system design was quite similar to the UPR-07, however due to cooling pipe conflicts with the engine, the exhaust system had to be rearranged.
Further to this, fewer sections were welded together. Whilst the increased the weight slightly due to U-Clamps being used, it allowed the system to be assembled a lot more easily as there was less stresses in the system.
The UPR-08 raced at Silverstone in July 2016, and was the first car in UPRacing history to successfully complete the 22km Endurance Race at Silverstone.
