IMechE Formula Student - UPR-07 Exhaust Sytem
The UPR-07 had updated made to the Chassis design, meaning the primary pipe had to redirected to a lower exit point.
Through knowledge I learnt in Body Engineering and Design & Model Operation during my placement year at Jaguar Land Rover, I was able to redesign the primary pipes using XYZ Coordinates, thus improving the overall accuracy & quality of manufacture.
During testing and Racing events, it as noted that the cylinder 4 primary pipe rested on and deformed an engine cooling pipe. This highlighted a key design flaw and was updated for the UPR-08.
