The Axio product range was created to lead the company's smart lighting ambitions, and Linium was the very first product in the range. At its core, Linium goal was to create the most versatile linear luminaire to create a continuous and seamless line of light in retail, office, and industrial environments.
In order to cover such wide range of applications, Linium was designed as a flexible modular system. The luminaire -which included the body, light source, and optical system - served as a skeleton or canvas, to add plug-n'-play modules with different functions and tailor the end product to the required application. The module options were: Driver (with different power options for different luminous flux), emergency pack (to turn the luminaire in a self maintained emergency fitting), Wireless Interface Module to add wireless connectivity, and a slide-on sensor. All luminaires included a close-circuit end module as a safety feature.
