Coffey!

The project was born as an initiative from
the Municipality of Gustavo A. Madero in
Mexico City. The main focus of the project
was to give new life to old trolley buses,
giving them a new purpose that would have a positive impact in the community.
Coffeey! is a concept that uses the bus as
an internet cafe. Inside the bus there are
single seats for people who want to relax,
work or simply drink a cup of coffee alone.
On the exterior there are foldable tables for
people to sit with their friends or colleagues
and enjoy their favourite hot beverage.
Additional outdoors space is located on the
roof of the unit, accessible via a staircase
inside the bus.
All the furniture (except exterior chairs) was
specially designed for this concept and it’s
made of plywood with HPL covering.
The exterior tables fold neatly to be stored
inside the unit once the cafe has closed,
and can be easily unfolded when they’re
needed.
