ANTI LAND-MINE CAMPAIGN

The ICBL (International Campaign To Ban Landmines) has been trying to
stop the use of landmines across the globe. Thanks to ICBL and their
Mine Ban Treaty, about 156 nations have already banned landmines. The
U.S. is still not part of those nations and haven't signed the treaty.ICBL
partnered with AVAAZ and created a petition for the public to help pressure
the Obama administration.

The petition hasn't been signed enough to make a strong impact. I want to
take the petition to the streets and give this epidemic the notoriety it
deserves.We live in a country where people has the freedom and safety
to walk over any land with no worries of landmines. I want to make people
uncomfortable and aware of the land they walk on the same way people in
other countries do. Therefore Im going to customize my own CAUTION signs.
These signs will be placed throughout city parks and children's
playgrounds across the U.S.

EVERY MONTH HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE ARE KILLED OR WOUNDED BY LANDMINES, BUT THE U.S. HAS NOT JOINED 156 OTHER NATIONS AND SIGNED THE 10 YEAR OLD MINE BAN TREATY. GIVE THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION THE PUBLIC PRESSURE AND BACKING IT NEEDS TO RATIFY. BE PART OF THE MOVEMENT AND SIGN THE PETITION.
