The Dominican University Website mockup: this deign had to incorporate the schools new branding guidelines. This challenge was met with the use of colors and layout. With this mockup I tried to tackle many of the issues the current University site has. One issue was fragmentation since the current site reads like a combination of several websites. It is important that all pages flow seamlessly into one another and work as one unit visually. This was done through strict visual guidelines that carried across every page. We then made a strong effort to incorporate drop down menus and quick lines which combines to make a more cohesive user experience. The end goal is to develop a new site that looks visually modern and appealing while being easy to use and structurally coherent.
