AI is definitely in the air. As a designer, I think there's certainly some unease about all of this, along with the excitement. How would Marcel Duchamp handle this? What would Virgil Abloh have done? Write the prompt directly on the shoe? ... If, in fact, he used artificial intelligence at all?
It certainly seems like a chapter in the history books or the making of a new art movement. As a designer, I initially see this AI imagery as mostly rendered sketches - inspiration that needs plenty of TLC to make real if they are used. As an artist, I'm not sure. I think, if we're honest, that artificial intelligence was part of the process. That's a start."
