Balance, 2014. A sense of stability in the body of work. Balance can be created by repeating the same shapes and by creating a feeling of equal weight. Photoshop edit was black and white.
Unity, 2014. Unity is seen in a painting or a drawing when all of the parts equal a whole. Photoshop edit was exposure.
Contrast, 2014. Refers to the opposites and differences in the work. You can achieve variety by using different shapes, textures, colors, and values in your work. Photoshop edit was invert.
Movement, 2014. Adds excitement to your work by showing action and directing the viewer's eye throughout the picture plane. Rhythm is a type of movement in drawing and painting. It is seen in repeating of shapes and colors. Alternating lights and darks also gives a sense of rhythm. Photoshop was sepia.
Pattern, 2014. An element that occurs over and over again in a composition. You can repeat the element in a consistent pattern or in a variation of the pattern. Photoshop edit was hue.
Size, 2014. A photograph using a human form to show proportion in reference to its surroundings and objects. Photoshop was sepia.
Emphasis, 2014. Emphasis in a composition refers to developing points of interest to pull the viewer's eye to important parts of the body of the work. Photoshop was black and white.
Balance, Contrast, and Repetition, 2014. Balance is shown because there is an equal amount of white and black circles. Contrast is shown because white and black are opposite colors. Repetition is shown because there is a pattern of the circles. Photoshop edit was vibrance.
