I was fortunate to be asked to design and build key elements within the Sovengard in Grand Rapids, MI. This included the interior bar and liquor shelving, glassware cabinets, and shelf walls near the host stand and through to the kitchen. These elements incorporated reclaimed hand hewn barn beams recycled from a barn in Plainwell, MI that was originally erected in the 1860's. In the exterior space there is a beirgarten that showcases a shipping container bar. There I designed (with the help from a friend that welds) and built the liquor shelving and barn door backdrop within the bar.
