The redesign also includes an iPhone app that will allow users to download the map to their phone for access underground and in areas without cell phone reception. They can also access point-to-point directions and updates about service status and delays when cell phone service is available.

NYC Subway Map
A redesign of the NYC subway map aimed to alleviate some of the confusion assoicated with the current map.
The redesign also includes a new series of MetroCards categoriezed by neighborhoods that riders can choose at the machine. Each card features an area-specific illustration on the front and a map segment on the back. The new cards will help introduce riders to the new map design.
Full map size is 24"x 36".
