Void Lancer

Void Lancer is a side scrolling shooter built in Uinty, and designed around the constraint of a slow-moving avatar - since that's uncommon and generally considered a bad idea :D.
The shield is meant to promote charging enemies, and the drones add an element of friendly AI.
The story was inspired by fine art of Skorpio at https://opengameart.org/content/spaceships-top-down, and Tatermand at https://opengameart.org/content/space-game-art-pack-extended. All other art assets were acquired similarly, at opengameart.org. All sounds and music were acquired from freesound.org.
I developed components to modularly assemble the ships in the editor, so that devising new weapons loadouts and behaviors for ships is quick and easy, and requires no code.
The same weapons-bays, ship-bays, and other components, can be used on the player's ship and any friendly ships or drones just as easily.
Level layout is simply a combination of timers and and relocating, configurable spawners.
