The 'Sony SL-33' Remote Control was the result of a project undertaken in 3rd year. The brief was to design an electronic device for a company of our choice. I chose to design a remote control for Sony. It was designed to work with internet televisions. It has a user friendly interface which is sleek, contemporary and stylistic. Depending on whether the user is watching TV or surfing the internet, different buttons will light up specific to the function. It only has the most commonly used buttons. This reduces the amount of unnecessary buttons available to the user. A roller ball on the unit allows for ease of navigation when using the internet. It was ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in the users hand.
