A project for company called PODS. This was very challenging one because I knew zero about oceanography, diving or seabed scientific research. The brief was to design a unique seabed frame to carry underwater measuring tools, easy & quick assembly, lightweight etc... The actual design is at this kind of product not very important but as there is quite a competition PODS needed a special shape and visual in order to support their innovations and image.
As I was researching and thinking about this product I found couple of perfect sea organisms that had same "capabilities" as my design. One of them was starfish and it fitted perfectly to my brief. I had to obviously use it only as a reference but I wanted to keep the smooth, regular, organic starfish-touch.
