This still-life drawing explores the complexity of light and reflections through the medium of graphite. The piece features a collection of glass and reflective objects, including a glass candlestick, an apple, and a glass bottle. The composition requires the viewer to observe the light on the surfaces and the intricate details within the reflections.
Although this piece was created early in the course, shading, contrast, and texture were used to capture the delicacy of transparent objects while maintaining the depth and realism of the overall scene. The focus of this project was to refine my understanding of how light interacts with different materials and to develop precision in rendering such effects.
