BIM Commercial

This was the final project for an intro to BIM class I took at Ivy Tech. This is a commercial building designed for a downtown, main-street type layout. My design includes a restaurant on the main level, as well as four apartments on the second level. This class really helped me start to develop my skills with Revit. I learned many functions, such as mechanical and electrical layouts, scheduling materials, and annotation. I learned how to 3D model within Revit to create specific designs such as door and window surrounds, and other types of decorative trim. I also learned how to collaborate with colleagues on projects, import files and create large layouts with multiple buildings.
