This tupac drawing was the first portrait i did with the bamboo wacom tablet. It helped me study black and white shading. I didn't know much of Photoshop at the time,. I added black and white and then used the smudge tool to blend everything together. At that time I also didn't know how to use layers so of course this was made with one layer.
Kid Cudi cross-hatching portrait drawing was about 14x20. The assignment was to combine something to the portrait so i decided to make Kid Cudi's neck electrical by exposing wires and tubes. I got different line weights with prismacolor fine tip ink pens and markers
This assignment was to make a portrait with hard edges of shadow and large amount of light on a 14x20
This was a first attempt of a Jimi Hendrix art piece created for rendering class. Achieved by using cool grey scale prisma colored markers. I carefully used the correct percentages of markers to get the correct and exact blending of the shadows, highlights, and structure of the face. In the beginning this was a slow approach because it was marker, but as I got used to the markers I was able to pick up faster.
Walter White aka Heisenberg from Breaking Bad. This was achieved using prisma color for the hard lines of the clothing, and water colored paint technique to create the rest. This technique is like Photoshop layers, getting wrinkles, highlights and shadows of the face by letting the watered paint dry and then adding more paint on top, then repeating.
