Hayagriva - Toy project
Hayagriva was a toy project for my Design Seminar class. I wanted to create a badass toy based on a deity, so I went for this half-white horse avatar of Lord Vishnu, that get incarnated to kill another Hayagriva who was terrorizing a town, since it could only be killed by another like him... yeah, I know, right?
It's hand painted and fused from a bunch of other toys I bought from a thrift store. The joints remain fully functional, The "skirt" is made out of paper towels. The whole project was four bucks! :D
The lettering on the chest says Hayagriva in Sanskrit and the tip of the fingers and toes are painted red as in Kathakali dancers...
