Furniture and Model-making
The first of these projects was built for a model-making class. It is a 1/5th scale model of Alvar Aalto's famous lounge chair. The goal was to replicate as closely as possible a chair that was originally done by a different designer. The second project is an original table design that I created for a furniture building class. My goal was to create a table that showed off the varied grains and figuring in some leftover walnut and myrtle wood. I added a small square of padauk as a focal point.
