FINISHING MATERIALS DESIGN

This was a team project that I was assigned to design kitchen backsplash for a contemporary house. This house was simple and achromatic but a little monotonous. I decided add some patterns which would enliven the entire atmosphere of the house by being an accent of the space. I employed well-designed patterns from mid-century modern era, Charles and Ray Eames patterns. It is a great pattern going well with contemporary mood. These patterns are applied to kitchen backsplash tiles and wall paper of the dining room, and stained glass of the main entrance. I abstracted colours used in the living room to keep the consistency and not to look busy.
