neo-coquille
neo-coquille - the name neo-coquille comes from the latin 'new' and french 'shell' which is the root of the term rococo or 'rock shell.' the chest is a postmodern reinterpretation of an iconic rococo chest of drawers. the plywood was painted before it was cnc milled to expose the end-grain and use vacant space as ornament. the fabrication utilizes the precision of the cnc router process to create forms very hard to cut by hand
