This is the first in a limited series of sculptures called Antimovs. The point of these sculptures is to have the artwork destroy themselves. This work utilized an antique motor speed knob hooked up to an electric motor. The motor has a flywheel, with a band looped around it and the control knob. This creates a precarious situation, wherein, if the knob was to be turned, it would run the motor, which would turn the knob, which would speed up the motor, and subsequently break the knob. when plugged in, there was an audible electric hum, creating a sense of tension, knowing that the piece could break itself at any moment. The frame is welded tube steel, and the pedestal is made of painted MDF.
