Aluminium pen
For this project I had to create and manufacture a pen from an aluminium billet, the pen had to include elements of milling and turning on the lathe. The pen was first modeled on Autodesk Inventor and engineering drawings were created from the model to use when working on the billet in the workshops. The pen cap and end were manufactured separately and fixed on with a two-part epoxy resin. I enjoyed this project as I had never worked with a lathe before and I am very pleased with the end product.
