Buleleng Mekorot Festival 2014
Balinese love flying kite. Every summer, young and old love flying this tiny thing into the sky. In many occasions they are also very competitive. They battle the kites' thread until one of them lost; the thread is broken, and the losing kite fly away somewhere. This kite battle is called "Mekorot" in Balinese language.
JCI (Junior Chamber International) Singaraja along with Buleleng Community, Manik Bumi Foundation, and Wirausaha Muda Singaraja create an event to celebrate this long lived culture on September 26th, 2014 in Lovina Beach Bali
